Hi, nice to meet you. My name is Jozias, I’m a Brazilian living in the Boston area. I’ll tell you a little bit about my story.
I grew in the south of Brasil in the Santa Catarina state, my family was a low-middle class, so my parents were always able to provide a little bit more than the basic to allow myself to develop as a person. I have a half-sister, an older brother and a younger one.
I studied IT and I have been working with Customer Support for a couple years.
My parents always thought me to study and work hard, and one more thing. I was been told that Money doesn’t fall from the skies. Also, they would say if someone is getting rich too fast probably they are doing something illegal. There was this feeling that going after money was not good because the money wouldn’t bring joy.
So I grew up with this belief and always was surrounded by people that shared the same view. Got a mediocre job with a mediocre paying in Brazil and worked there for 8 years (the comfort zone is good right? It’s a shame we can’t grow while in there).
Well, back in 2015 I decided to try something new. I decided to move to Boston to get to know a new culture and improve my English. Life happened and a lot changed since 2015. Anyways, here I’m now at my 33 years, with a process in immigration to be able to become a United States resident.
I’m starting my life from scratch in a foreign country, and with that comes some challenges. My goal is to be able to establish myself financially and get prepared for my future in this country.
So I’ll be sharing with you things that I’m or will be doing in order to achieve my goals. I hope this can be helpful to you. I want a better life, worry, and debt-free. I want to be rich and I will.
